SEM: Screen Direction

OBJ:SWBAT apply visual media rules to storytelling.
TASK: 180 degree rule - a basic guideline in film making that states that two characters (or other elements) in the same scene should always have the same left/right relationship to each other. If the camera passes over the imaginary axis connecting the two subjects, it is called crossing the line. The new shot, from the opposite side, is known as a reverse angle.
MINI LESSON: Demonstrate with camera & playback.
WORKTIME
1. Choreograph scenes using 180 degree rule
2. Rehearse recording with Monitor and Director
CLOSING: How does the 180 degree rule apply to your department (lights, sound, special effects, script, directing, art, costumes, etc...)
HW: Look for examples of 180 degree rule.
